Greetings! I am College of the Atlantic's resident
economist. I use ecological, neoclassical, and, occasionally, Marxist
perspectives in my courses, policy analysis, and research to explore complex
phenomena such as globalization, economic growth and development, and
environmental sustainability. As with all COA faculty, the use of a human
ecological perspective has led me toward many other interests. My other primary
interests include forest policy, rural and
community development (both in the U.S. and in developing countries), feminist
economics, and
ecological entrepreneurship. If you'd like to learn more about me, you can check
out my CV. (
