RESEARCH
Sep.2004-Nov.2004 - Independent research study: A ten-week continuous research project entitled "Theoretical and experimental investigation of the effects of viscosity on the dynamics of fluid-filled cylinders" under supervision of physics professor Dr. David Feldman at College of the Atlantic.

Spring 2003 - Bio-Molecular Genetic Research: With five other students and a scientist, Dr. David Towle of the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory (ME), I sequenced about 90% of the gene responsible for expression of Hsp70 in the American Lobster (Homarus americanus). April 2002 - Submitted a 4000-word essay as part of my International Baccalaureate studies based on independent research with original experimentation in thermodynamics. This involved an in-depth six-month study under supervision of my physics professor at MUWCI, India.

March 2004-Current - Teaching Assistant for Calculus-II and Econometrics, College of the Atlantic.

Jan. 2004-March 2004 - Teaching Assistant for Calculus-I, College of the Atlantic. Assisted the teacher during the class by helping students with group problem solving and tutored them outside class.

Sep. 2004-Current - Computer Technician, College of the Atlantic. Provided technical support to the students, faculty, and staff, maintained and administered computer workstations and facilities, and configured a local area network.

Sep. 2004-Current - Teaching Assistant for Calculus-I, College of the Atlantic. Assisted the teacher during the class by helping students with group problem solving and tutored them outside class.

Sep. 2004-Nov. 2004 - Teaching Assistant for Physics II, College of the Atlantic. Assisted the teacher in preparation and set up for laboratory and class-work and tutored the students outside class.

Summer 2003 & 2004 - Maintenance Staff, Family Nature Camp, College of the Atlantic. Carried out various residential responsibilities of the summer program for families such as cleaning, stocking, and painting.

Sep. 2002-August 2003 - Research Assistant, Allied Whale, College of the Atlantic. Did photograph-identification of humpback and finback whales for a continuous research project, and helped to rescue stranded seals at this world-renowned marine mammal research laboratory.

March 2004 - Volunteer, Cumberland-Trails crew, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Participated in a trail building/maintenance project for a week as a member of Alternative Spring Break, Break Away Program.

March 2001 - Volunteer, Earthquake Relief Group, Gujarat, India. Helped victims put up temporary homes, recover usable materials from collapsed houses, distributed medicine, and entertained local village children to ease the shock of a major disaster.

Sep. 2001-May 2002 - Service in the Paud Village Orphanage: Mentored orphans in Paud, Pune, India.

Sep. 2000-May 2001 - Community Development Project: Teamed with student volunteers to help construct bathrooms for residents and a schoolhouse for children in the village of Khubavali, Pune, India.

December 1997 - Leprosy removal program: Worked in my hometown of Balaghat to help people suffering from the disease and distributed medicine.

February 1996 - Rehabilitation Project: Competed with a team of 20 students, taking first place in a district level inter-school competition. We converted a run-down area in our town into a beautiful garden.
