Super
Soaker 300
Abstract
The most maniacal water weapon ever conceived. I broke into a three
day bout of maniacal laughter when I laid eyes upon it. This beast carries
an insane amount of water, but can burn it up fast because it fires a third
of an inch stream of water. I have had friends lose their minds when hosed
continually by this weapon. It is a fragile weapon, one that requires respect
and care. It does not have the XP roughness (a 300 XP was released, but
it was the same weapon), so you must be careful. I have had to open Syko
Hose Beast three times for repair. The Beast is the only
currently working 300 I know of.
Strategies
A heavy assult weapon only. Because this weapon is prone to breakage,
only take it out when someone must pay. 300s are best used with support.
The combination of a heavy backpack and a hose connecting the gun with the
pack make for a very unmobile weapon. I enjoy having at least one 150 to run interference. Smaller faster guns can protect
you, while you systematically destroy all dryness in the area.
Tips
The trigger mechanism is particularly vulnerable. Two of the three times
I have opened The Beast up have been trigger problems (the third
was one of the compression tanks beginning to blow up in my face). On the
front of the gun is a pivot for the lever. With age, this pivot begins to
stress and can break off, ruining the weapon. Support the pivot by wrapping
Duct Tape around the front of the gun and behind the pivot. Another problem
I had was the pivot where the trigger handle meets the gun. This piece snapped
on me and I had to replace it with a bolt. With age the gear mechanism can
become stiff, and will not close properly resulting in a constant hiss of
lost pressure. Open the weapon to expose the gears, and hose them down with
WD 40. Trigger Troubles
