John Visvader teaches in a lecture style format and invites discussion by asking a student questions during this lecture. He will also frequently assign a student a chapter to lecture on themselves to present to the class. The student is expected to be able to explain the argument in the book or article read and say why the author took this view. John favors precise and specific examples to global questions and includes this view when looking at student papers.
